How ETG Private classes work
Students who are under our 1-1 tutoring will also receive COMPLIMENTARY access to weekly ongoing onsite/Zoom group classes, hard copy materials and have access to our recorded video lessons on the Learning Management System.
Step 1: Decide on a ETG Premier Access tier & do a paid trial lesson
We have different tiers of Private classes.
Regular Tier
Senior TA - Tutor: $90/hour to $110/hour
Premium Tier
Senior Tutor: $120/hour to $150/hour
Principal Tier
Mr Toh: $350/hour
You can decide on a Private class tier, as well as your preferred class timing and we will assign a tutor based on your preferred tier & timing.
For 1-1 classes (except for private classes with Mr Toh), you can take your first lesson to be a paid trial lesson before committing as it is important that you are comfortable with the tutor assigned to you.
Step 2: Confirm your Private class tutor & register for classes
After the paid trial lesson, we will then confirm your registration for the 1-1 classes.
There will be a minimum commitment of 10 lessons x 2 hours for our 1-1 classes.
Our administrator will then help you work out a mutually agreeable schedule for your 1-1 classes (for the 10 lessons) with our tutor.
You may spread the 10 lessons across 10 weeks in a flexible manner (e.g. in some weeks you may opt to have 2 lessons, and in some weeks you may opt to have 1 lesson) as long as the tutor’s schedule permits. The 10 lessons must be completed within 10 weeks.
Step 3: Receive materials & become a full-fledged ETG student!
Upon receipt of payment, you will then become a full-fledged ETG student and are entitled to the following benefits
All materials that regular ETG students receive (Registration package comprising of guidebooks, essay banks, exercise books, summary sheets, Express textbooks, term textbooks & more!)
You will be able to access an equivalent number of group classes at no extra charge (e.g. if you paid for 10 ETG private classes, you can access the same number of ETG group classes on Zoom & LMS without paying more!)
Can I decide what I want to learn during the Private 1-1 classes?
Absolutely. There are TWO options you can choose from
Option 1: Select a lesson from our Curriculum
You will be given access to the full ETG curriculum, and as long as the lesson has been conducted for the year, you may opt for the tutor to go through a specific lesson from our curriculum, whether be it a content based lesson or a skills-based/practised-based lesson.
Option 2: go through your tutorials / essay practices / csq practices
You can also opt to have our tutor go through your tutorials, essay practices or case study practices that you have done. For this, we recommend that you send the materials to our Admin team at least 2 days before the lesson, so that our tutor will have time to go through your work and prepare for the elsson.

To register for 1-1 private classes with our TAs / Tutors / Senior Tutors, please fill up the registration form
Fees & Charges for 1-1 Lessons
Senior TA - Tutor: $90/hour to $110/hour
Senior Tutor: $120/hour to $150/hour

What happens after registration
We will be in touch with you to find about your timing preferences.
A paid trial lesson will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable timing.
After the paid trial, you can then decide if you would like to commit

Fees & Charges for 1-1 Lessons
1-1 classes with Mr Toh is charged at $350/hour
Students who wish to take 1-1 classes with Mr Toh can purchase in blocks of 10 hours.
Upon purchase of a 10 hour block, Mr Toh will advise of his/her availability for the next 2 weeks for holding of the 1-1 session.
The 1-1 class will be held either at Coronation Plaza or Zoom - to be mutually agreed between Mr Toh & the student.
Each 1-1 class will be 2 hours long.
Timings for 1-1 sessions can be on an ad-hoc or fixed weekly timing, to be mutually agreed between Mr Toh & the student.
What happens after registration
We will activate your account within 24 hours of receipt of payment to activate your LMS account which will give you access to current materials & recorded video lessons for our ETG Programme.
Our administrator will be in touch with you to send you the hard copy materials within 7 days upon receipt of payment. We will also be arranging with your senior tutor on mutually agreeable timings.
Our administrator will also run through with you an Orientation session to go through with you how to book lessons
